Ho Chi Minh Vietnam
I think I found spider cobwebs when I logon to the admin side to check my blog. I think somebody is telling to tell me to post something soon or else my website will be covered with real spiders crawling around.
So, retrieve some old pictures and discovered that I have not posted Vietnam yet despite returning from the French colony donkey years ago. Besides somebody called me a paparazzi and wanted some Vietnam post, so here it is.
Ho Chi Minh, is really a nice place to hang around. All the places of visit is just around town and all you need to do is walk.
Houses here are so slim that you only need to go up rather that go sideways to have space.
Then you have to go through all the soi and lorong lorong for the short cut.
My all time favourite food is the local famous "Pho" Noodle. Had this for breakfast every single morning as it is very near where I stay.
As it was a working trip, I only get to walk around half day. Weather is so hot but the buildings are very unique. This is the Post Office building as it is the only place which is open early in the morning.
Outside the Post Office with beautiful flowers planted everywhere.
Notre Dam Cathedral is a French Built cathedral and it is a beautiful cathedral. Perfect place to take plenty of pictures.
Hence, with such a good combination, it is no wonder that a newly wed couples took their wedding picture there. Saw a few couples early in the morning busy snapping away. Me also keh poh, also snap snap.
Other unique building which I don't know the names.
But still very unique.
The War remnant museum is the next stop. This disturbing display of man's cruelty during the Vietnam (American) War includes halls full of gruesome photographs, a real guillotine, a simulated "tiger cage" prison and jars of deformed fetuses blamed on Agent Orange.
I did not took the pictures despite entering the museum. The most disturbing pictures should be the Operation Orange where aeroplane drop chemicals and the after effect of the village people during the Vietnam War.
Coming out, I tell ya. These motorbikes reminds me of Hanoi when we went there. Almost knocked by them a few times despite reminding myself always to look right first as traffic is the other way round here, left hand drive.
Typical Vietnamese guys. The one wearing the hats. Cool, huh. They are trying to sell some souvenirs to the two ladies who happens to come from Thailand.
And this is real Vietnam guy posing in front of the Ho Chi Minh Museum. I hope it is correct. The name of the museum, I mean. The Vietnam guy is definitely not correct. He is actually my child hood friends since Kindergarten. So no way he is a Vietnamese.
But this one is definitely 100% Vietnamese lady.
You'll be expecting a lady wearing a triangular hat with long shirt all the way down to their legs and wearing a white blouse, right? Well, fashion has changed the world. Very cute. Thanks for the place to stay in Vietnam, Kevin and May. Hope to see you guys again.
