Kunming Part 1

Filed at 5:17 am under Places Visited - International by tangcyee

It's almost a month now and things are so busy that I did not have the time to update my Kunming trip. Anyway, here are a few glimpse of the town.

Kunming is just 2 hours flight from Bangkok and is actually the southern of China, close to the Cambodia and Laos border. Temperature is 12C in the morning and 16C in the afternoon, just perfect compared to the hot weather in Rayong.

Kunming town is, I guess, like any other cities in the world, where it is , err. ..well, just cities, concrete block and pollution. But then, all car's are using gas, so it is actually not really polluted. In fact, I found it as a very clean city.

The hotel below which I stay in, is unfortunately, Kunmings own 5 star hotel which if you ask me, compared to Bangkok or KL, maybe 2 or 3 star.

No policeman around here one., Need help they have Robocop to assist you.

As I was on business for 3 days, it was merely spent inside the city walking around and snapping pictures. However, on Sunday, I managed to book a day trip and decided to explore outside where all the beautiful sceneries are.

I have to grab a cab to catch up with the bus who has already departed and about to leave the city.

Huge Kunming Train Station.

Taxi here are 50% man and 50% woman, so it is not luckythat I got a woman cab. Your chance is 50-50 anyway. And by the way, the have this grilles separating between the passenger and the driver. Makes dunno who like a prisoner. Hehe.

First stop, we were taken to a temple where a lot of rich history is behind this temple but as my Chinese is not so good, I just walk around and click pictures.

Well…wait for Part 2. Dunno when I will find the time but will try my best.
