Joanna’s Red Eye

Filed at 10:22 am under Bangkok Happenings by tangcyee

I may have recovered from my panda eye which I have posted earlier but then a new problem creeps in. The virus has been passed on to Joanna, poor thing. The eye was red a few days back and it becomes unbearable today when SH called up to say that we really have to go to see the doctor.

I have an even big predicament now. As this coming weekend is an important week, I have to stay on at site as the workers are working throughout Saturday and Sunday and hence, I can't return home.

Luckily, my Thai partner came to the rescue and he came to pick up SH to Bangkok Rayong hospital to see the eye specialist. The problem with Joanna is that at her age, understandably it is rather hard to put eye drops into her eyes. The doctor was let with no choice but to use force in order to inspect her eyes.

The most heart breaking news to hear is that there was blood clots coming out from the eyes and that really got me so worried that I was so tempted to drop off the work and rush home.

However, the doctor assured SH that this is not a serious problem and advised her to put the eye drops to Joanna's eye every 4 hours. The best time during sleeping period. I haven't see the red eye yet as it happened the day I left her for work and she must have climb out to bed and made eye connection with me when I was asleep.

On a brighter note, at least Jason has recovered from fever and is now back to school after a week's absence and to SH's horror, the Cambridge Std 6 exam is next week and she has no idea of that at all as Jason was not in school last week. So with this 2 big problem buggering her and with so many problems buggering me at site right now, let's hope that we will pass this crisis as soon as possible.
