Bangkok Motor Show - The Event of the Year Part 1
As in every year’s case, Bangkok’s motor show, the best show in South East Asia is back and as usual, created such a long traffic leading to BITEC, the venue of the exhibition, that I decided to take a motorbike there instead. Good choice too, for no more than 1km travelling, I can see a long queue leading to the car park of the exhibition. I did visit last year’s motor show exhibition but as I did not put up my blog yet, it was not shown. This year, witness the grandest exhibition of all times…the model girls! Check out these exhibition and let me know which one is nicer, the girls or the cars!
Entrance to the motor show cost 80 Baht. Considering all the photos taken with those model girls, I would say it is worth it, my wife agrees! Other than that, I would say that the quality of the cars are not as good as 4 years back where they had lots of imported cars to the exhibition. Nevertheless, with the crowd mingling here and there and plenty of showcase, it is still worth going there.
Absolutely striking. No wonder flocks of people are jamming up the streets to see these pretty cars, or girls, to be precise. This is a Jaguar and a Mercedes Benz.
I can bet you my last dollar that this pretty “lady” here is not what you think “she” is. According to my friends, 20% of these models are actually “katoeys” or, you know, ex-boys. But…I could be wrong.
A section torn up view of a Lexus. They actually cut a Lexus into half and use this as a display specially for this occasion.
Ford Focus modelling girls.
A Nissan 350Z model. and of course, Jaguar symbol needs no introduction.
What do ya think of this one? Absolutely gorgeous models, huh? And you know what, these are just part time girls who could be studying in the university or working in the office. It’s only this time of the year that big companies can afford to employ them on a part time basis for one week just for this exhibition.
Stay tuned for more to come…
