House Keys
As usual, Monday morning is always a tough day. Kids sleeping late, me sleeping late and even the cats outside are reluctant to wake up to do their business.
Alarm went off, and I had to get off the kids sleepy heads into action.
This morning, when I have managed to force Joanna to finish her breakfast, surprisingly it was still early, with about 10 minutes left on the clock before I have to rush them out.
That gives me ample time to brush, changed into working clothes and morning breakfast. Yes, all within 10 minutes, geng or not?
SH was hurrying out to school and ask me to drive Joanna to work and I told her to go ahead and leave first.
When I was ready to leave the house, I saw that SH has forgotten to bring her house keys and this is bad news. She has done it before and the kids and her has to crouch outside the house while waiting for me to come back after work.
I said to myself, "Aiya, you forgot the house keys again". Joanna was playing to herself nearby and she must have heard me.
Quickly, I grab the keys and beckoned Joanna to get up and go because we may have time to catch her at school just in time. (She was on her way to school, which is only nearby).
We drove out as soon as possible, negotiated a bend, turn the indicating lights and drove up the ramp to the school, just in time to see SH about to walk up the front door.
Before I could do anything, little Joanna acted clever and push down the window button for it to descend. And then she calls out loud. And I mean real LOUD!
"Mommy, you forgot to kiss Daddy!"
I think Joanna may have miss the word House instead of house keys. So she might have heard, "Aiya, SH forgot her keys (Kiss) again".
SH hurriedly walk over and I mooch up my mouth for her to kiss, like the princess and the frog.
Anybody watch it yet?
No lah, I just wave the house keys in front of her and both of us had a good laugh, with all the little children around.
Well, that makes my Monday morning much better.
