Sceneries of Thailand

Filed at 4:37 am under Places Visited Thailand/Central by tangcyee

It was one of the rare moments but I guess for the next two months, it had to be this way.

Getting up as early as 5am and traveling to site reaching there just in time for work. Used to did this in KL going to Penang doing the Bayan Bay Project when it was abandoned eventually due to economic downturn. That was 10 years ago.

But here in Thailand, it did reminds me many many sceneries and memories while travelling.

The break of dawn, for instance.

So refreshing to drive in the morning, no traffic jam.

This picture reminds me of stopping by at Bidor off the PLUS highway and went to the wet market to have "Siew Yook" - The Best in the World- and also "Chee Cheong Fan". Ah.those good old days.

Of course, some sceneries you just can't get it back home. Like these…..

Or these!

The local police must be rubbing their hands gleefully.

Talking about the local police, I was caught speeding the very first time I came here and the police flag me down. Unwinding down the window, the police salute at me, one thing that I think our "Mata" will never do. At that time, I was Zero in Thai language and upon knowing I am not Thai, he explains to me that I am speeding. Of course I knew about this but I just waved my hand pretending not to know anything.

I did a mental calculation and realized that I have no small change in my wallet. Only 500 Baht and 1000 Baht. Now we all know that those man in white back home will accept nothing less than RM100. So I'd figure 500 Baht (RM50) should be OK here.

When I show the policeman the note, he was either too shocked to see that amount (Later, I found out that 100Baht is more than enough!) or he is too hesitant to accept it from a foreigner. I was shooed off. :)

And talking about the language when I first arrived, if you came across the toilet which has no international sign, only Thai word:-

This is for ladies. (Ying)

And this is for the Guys. (Chai). If you cannot remember it, remember the center one, it looks like a stick.

You don't wanna get kicked out by the ladies. Not the gents toilet anyway.
